Project Overview

The mill strike of 1982 brought immense hardship to mill workers in Mumbai. To support them, the Maharashtra government initiated the ‘GIRNI KAMGAR GHARKUL YOJANA’ vide Government Resolution no. GiKaGh-2023/CR 128/ GND-2, dated 15th March 2024, in partnership with private developers to provide subsidized housing within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Karmyogi AVP Realty LLP is one of the private developers entrusted with implementing this scheme. 31,005 homes will be developed by Karmyogi AVP Realty LLP, a joint venture between Vasant Vihar Realty Pvt Ltd and Anukarati Homes Pvt Ltd.

The Maharashtra government has approved a subsidy of ₹5.5 lakh per flat under the Girni Kamgar Gharkul Yojana.
A Girni worker eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 will receive interest subsidy.
Furthermore, a Girni worker with a Construction Worker Registration Card from the BOCW Board of Maharashtra will be eligible for an additional subsidy of ₹2 lakh.

Anukarati Homes Private Ltd (AHPL) is redefining affordable housing. To qualify for the ₹2.50 lakh subsidy under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme 2.0, the applicant’s family (husband, wife, and children under 18 years) must not own a permanent house anywhere in India, and their annual income should not exceed ₹3 lakh.
